Design Technology
At Tarvin Primary School, in Design and Technology we aim to inspire all our pupils to become innovative and creative thinkers with a clear understanding of design shown through their ideas, creativity, and evaluation. We want our young designers and technologists to develop the confidence to take risks when planning their designs, modelling, and testing. As such, children will become reflective learners who are able to evaluate their work and the work of others, demonstrating continuous improvement.
Our scheme of work aims to build a wider awareness of the impact of design and technology on our daily lives, thus encouraging our children to become resourceful, enterprising young people with the skills to contribute to design in the future.
We believe these essential skills will assist with their ongoing education throughout school and beyond, leading to greater employment opportunities. Here at Tarvin, we believe in the importance of helping our young designers to develop skills for their future.
